Gascoyne Primary Producers Launches as New Representative Peak Body for Gascoyne Region Businesses
The seafood, horticulture and pastoral industries of the Gascoyne region, Wester Australia, have come together today under the banner of new representative peak industry body Gascoyne Primary Producers Limited (GPP).
GPP launches today, 29 January 2019 following a project to form a peak body which can recognise and represent the common priorities of the region’s businesses. Launching with a clear eye and strategy for the future, GPP is welcoming membership from individuals, businesses and associations from the Gascoyne’s seafood, horticulture and pastoral industries.
“The initiative to form GPP came from local businesses, industry and stakeholders who called for a united voice to represent the interests of the region’s primary producers”, said GPP Chair Paul Shain.
The result, continues Mr Shain, is Gascoyne Primary Producers, which “will offer a fresh, more commercial and influential approach to representing our industries”. GPP will focus on providing services which jointly benefit all three industries, including advocacy, market growth and development and strategic issue management.
The GPP Board, whose current members include Paul Shain, Scott Razga and Alys McKeough, are excited to welcome inaugural members to GPP who will have the opportunity to help shape their new organisation.
Detailed information about Gascoyne Primary Producers, including relevant industry information, details about how to become a member and what benefits membership will include can be found on their website www.gpp.org.au. An Information Memorandum and Membership Application is also available now upon request by emailing email@example.com.
